When I first saw the screenshots I was in shock ;-) My old, beloved DooM II [and DooM I], but completely new. Beautiful textures, 3D models, light, new sounds and music! Maybe it’s not the latest production and it’s graphics can’t compete with new games, but it’s DooM II! I spend many terrifying evenings with this game, when I was in primary school, I even bought my first speakers to play it! :-D

It’s almost like a new game, you can explore DooM all over again. Still, despite many modifications, the atmosphere of the game is well preserved [or maybe it’s my fondness]. Maps, weapons and monsters are the same as in original DooM, but they look much better. I definitely recommend this game, it is really worth downloading. You can take a look at the screenshot gallery below. Oh, installation file weights about 600MB ;-)

Dzięki sugestiom Off’a powstała wersja light zestawu a0x curset 1. Zmniejszony został kursor “praca w tle” oraz cienie pod wszystkimi kursorami.

Mój pierwszy zestaw kursorów. Nie będę ukrywał, że w dużej mierze inspiracją były dla mnie kursory Grounation, autorstwa moshi, wykorzystałem pomysł na kursory “praca w tle” i “zajęty”.

Aby korzystać z tych kursorów, potrzebny jest darmowy program CursorXP. Poza tematem CursorXP, paczka zawiera kursory “drag & drop”, które pojawiają się w momencie przeciągania pliku. W zestawie znajduje się też kursor sygnalizujący pracę napędu CD/DVD. Aby skorzystać z tych dodatkowych elementów, trzeba niestety pobawić się ResHackerem i podmienić odpowiednie kursory w user32.dll i ole32.dll. Przed tymi operacjami polecam popytać o szczegóły Google ;-)
